Bruschetta with basil

Basil, chocolate and passion fruit pancake
Try making a delicious passion fruit cream filling for pancakes by beating together 125g mascarpone cheese, the juice of 2 passion fruit 2 tbs caster sugar and the seeds from a Schwartz vanilla pod. Finish pancakes by drizzling with a chocolate and Basil sauce made by melting 125g chocolate, 50ml whipping cream and 1 tsp Schwartz Basil in a pan. Stir in 2 tbs golden syrup and 25g butter at the end to give a glossy sauce.

For a sweet and spicy breakfast gently heat some honey, add a pinch of Ground Ginger and drizzle over hot toast.
Butterscotch and Ginger Sauce for pancakes
Try making a delicious butterscotch sauce for pancakes. Simply melt 25g butter in a saucepan over a medium heat, add 100g brown sugar and cook for 3-4 minutes until the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and add 125g double cream along with ½ tsp Schwartz Ginger Ground. Return to heat and heat through, serve over pancakes with vanilla ice cream
Carrots and root vegetables with cumin
To give your carrots and root vegetables a delicious nutty, citrus flavour, try sprinkling over Schwartz Caraway Seeds or Cumin Seeds.
Charred Orange, Black rum and Allspice pancakes
Make a delicious sweet sauce for pancakes by placing 75g granulated sugar and a splash of orange juice in a pan and heat until it starts to caramelise. Add 75ml more orange juice, 2 tbs black rum, a pinch of Schwartz Allspice and 3 tbs of butter and heat for a further 2-3 minutes until smooth. Pour over pancakes and garnish with charred orange segments made by placing segments on a baking tray, topping with sugar and placing under a hot grill until lightly charred.
Cheese Fondue
For a simple and delicious oozing cheese fondue, try slicing the top rind from a Camembert Wheel. Sprinkle with Thyme then bake in a medium oven for 10-15 minutes until cheese has melted. Serve with toasted pittas to dip.

Liven up cod fillets with a sprinkle of Schwartz Lemon Pepper to add a refreshing zesty taste.
