Blended to perfection, with roasted cocoa bean for a
fuller flavour, this authentic recipe mix will take your taste buds on an
exciting and flavourful journey. This exciting and vibrant blend includes
the richness of roasted cocoa bean, combined with the fragrant citrus like
flavours of coriander leaf and the fiery kick of jalapeno
pepper.
Usage
MEXICAN CHILLI CHICKEN
1 tbs olive oil
450g (1lb) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
1 onion, chopped
1 packet Schwartz Flavourful Mexican Chilli Chicken Recipe
Mix
1 green pepper, diced
400g tin chopped tomatoes
400g tin kidney beans, drained
1 tbs tomato purée
150ml (¼ pint) water
1. Heat the olive oil in a deep frying pan, add the chicken and onion
and cook for 8-10 minutes, until browned.
2. Sprinkle in the packet contents and fry for a further 30
seconds.
3. Add the pepper, tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato purée and
water.Bring to the boil, stirring. Simmer for 10 minutes stirring
occasionally.
SLOW COOKER INSTRUCTIONS
Place all
the ingredients in the slow cooker, except the oil. Mix together well.
Cook according to your slow cooker instructions.
We cooked it on a low
setting for 5 hours, but please refer to your manufacturer's instructions
for best results.
SUITABLE FOR
FREEZING
This finished recipe is suitable for freezing.
Transfer the cooked recipe to an airtight container and leave to cool.
Cover and place in the freezer for up to 1 month, for best
results.
Re-heating Guidlines - Defrost thoroughly
overnight in a refrigerator. Transfer to a saucepan and heat gently over a
medium-heat, stirring occasionally, until piping hot throughout.
Alternatively, place in a microwaveable bowl, cover loosely with cling
film and re-heat in the microwave on HIGH for 4-5 minutes, stirring
half-way through, or until piping hot throughout.
