This quick and easy tomato sauce mix with garlic and
herbs makes a delicious Italian dish.
Usage
BACON AND MUSHROOM TAGLIATELLE
1tsp oil225g (8oz) smoked bacon, sliced
100g (4oz) mushrooms, sliced
400g tin chopped tomatoes
1 packet Schwartz Bacon & Mushroom Tagliatelle Recipe
Mix
50ml (2 floz) water1tbs tomato purée
275g (10oz) tagliatelle, cooked and drained
1. Heat the oil and fry the bacon for 1-2 minutes in a frying pan.
Drain any excess liquid. Add the mushrooms and fry for a further 1-2
minutes.
2. Add the chopped tomatoes, packet contents, water and the tomato
purée. Bring to the boil, stirring.
3. Simmer for 5 minutes. Combine the sauce with the tagliatelle.
4. Serve with a crisp green salad and garlic bread.
