A creamy recipe mix with lemon, marjoram and parsley for a delicious chicken and leek bake.
CHICKEN AND LEEK BAKE
1 packet Schwartz Chicken and Leek Bake Recipe Mix
450g (1lb) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
100g (4oz) bacon, chopped
225g (8oz) leeks, sliced
450ml (¾ pint) milk
50g (2oz) Cheddar cheese, grated
1. Pre-heat over to 200C, 400F, Gas Mark 6.
2. Fry chicken, bacon and leeks for 5 minutes. Mix sachet contents with milk and pour over chicken.
3. Transfer to an ovenproof dish, top with cheese and bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
4. Serve with mashed potatoes.
Re-heating Guidlines -
Defrost thoroughly overnight in a refrigerator. Transfer to a saucepan and
heat gently over a medium-heat, stirring occasionally, until piping hot
throughout. Alternatively, place in a microwaveable bowl, cover loosely
with cling film and re-heat in the microwave on HIGH for 4-5 minutes,
stirring half-way through, or until piping hot throughout.
SUITABLE FOR FREEZING
This finished recipe is suitable for freezing. Prepare the dish up to Step 2, then transfer the cooked recipe to an airtight container and leave to cool. Cover and place in the freezer for up to 1 month, for best results.
