A creamy savoury white sauce mix, great to pour over
chicken, vegetables and gammon.
Usage
BECHAMEL WHITE SAUCE
1 packet Schwartz Béchamel White Sauce Mix
300ml (½ pint) milk
25g (1oz) butter (optional)
1. Empty the packet contents into a small saucepan.
2. Blend in the milk and bring to the boil, stirring
continuously.
3. Add the butter and simmer for 1-2 minutes until the sauce has
thickened.
4. Use the prepared sauce to top lasagne and sprinkle with
grated cheese before baking. For a quick and tasty pasta sauce, add the
prepared sauce to sautéed bacon, mushrooms and onion and pour
over pasta.
