Ingredients
Blended to perfection, with roasted Cumin and a hint of cocoa for a fuller flavour, this recipe mix for Tex-Mex Chilli con Carne will take all the family on an exciting and flavourful journey. delicious served with long grain rice.
Method
Step 1
Fry the minced beef and onion in a deep frying pan, until browned, then drain off any excess liquid.
Step 2
Sprinkle in the packet contents and cook gently for a few seconds, stirring to release the flavours.
Step 3
Add the remaining ingredients and bring to the boil, giving the dish a quick stir.
Step 4
Finally, take down the heat, cover the pan and leave to simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the sauce is nice and thick. Great served with long grain rice.

Cook's Notes
This recipe is great prepared in advance, simpy leave to cool, then cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Re-heat in a pan on the hob, until piping hot throughout.
Vegetarian Suggestions:
Simply replace the minced beef with Quorn mince, or similar meat-free mince and follow the instructions on the pack.
Mixed Pepper & Bean Burritos - Try replacing the minced beef with a tin of mixed beans and two diced peppers. Simply fry the onion in a little oil, until browned. Add the diced peppers, 400g tin of mixed beans (drained), the chopped tomatoes, tomato purée and water and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook through for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened. Delicious served in flour tortillas, topped with grated cheese and grilled until golden brown.
