Apple Pear Oaty Crumble recipe

Method

Step 1

Pre-heat the oven to 170°C, 325°F, Gas Mark 3.

Step 2

Toss the apple and pear slices with the lemon juice and Vanilla seeds in a large bowl. Mix the cornflour and Cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle over the fruit and toss to coat well. Spoon into a greased baking dish.

Step 3

For the topping, mix the brown sugar, flour, oats and Cinnamon in a medium bowl. Rub the butter into the flour until coarse crumbs form, then sprinkle evenly over the fruit.

Step 4

Bake for 40 - 45 minutes or until the fruit is tender and the topping is golden brown.
