Summer Vegetable Tips

Summer vegetables are ripe for harvesting from your veggie patch... and now you can make them even more flavourful.

Combine herbs and spices with your traditional summer vegetables to bring out their complementary flavours and make even the most rudimentary vegetable into a delicious dish.

Looking for something to liven up a vegetable side dish? Try our simple summer vegetable tips below. Add cumin to carrots to create an aromatic carrot side dish. Or combine cucumber and mint to create a refreshing Raita with Onion Bhajis.

Coriander and Avocado

Try combining Coriander Leaf with chopped avocado for a delicious guacamole, add a pinch of crushed chillies for a spicy kick!

Carrots and Cumin

Try sprinkling cumin over carrots with a little butter for a warming and aromatic flavour.

Cucumber and mint

Try combining grated cucumber with mint and Greek yoghurt for a refreshing Raita, great to serve with onion bhajis.

Tomatoe and Oregano

Try combining Oregano with chopped tomatoes, great as a topping for bruschetta.

Beetroot and Dill

Dill is an excellent partner for beetroot. Try stirring into beetroot soup for a sweet and fresh flavour.
