Garam Masala means 'warm spice blend' and this aromatic blend, containing spices, black pepper and bay leaves, is used throughout Indian cuisine.
Usage ideas
Stir into all curries at the end of cooking.
Sprinkle over chicken or pork dishes towards the end of cooking, to enhance the flavour.
Shake over stir fried vegetables, such as leeks, carrots and cabbage, just before serving.
Stir into fresh fruit salads and rice salads.
Add a sprinkling to rice dishes for a sweet, light spicy flavour.
