A delicious, rich and spicy chilli con carne made from scratch, combining the perfect blend of herbs and spices including Cumin, Coriander, Oregano, Bay, Paprika and Chillies.
STEP 1: Heat the oil in a pan and gently fry the onion, over a medium-heat, until softened. Stir in the Ground Cumin, Ground Coriander, Oregano and Bay Leaf. Cook for 1 minute to release the flavours.
STEP 2: Add the beef mince and brown for about 4-5 minutes. Drain excess oil if necessary. Add the Paprika, tomato purée and Crushed Chillies.
STEP 3: Stir in the chopped tomatoes, beef stock and kidney beans. Turn up the heat for 1 minute, then reduce the heat and simmer for around 10 minutes until the sauce has thickened and the mince is cooked. Season to taste.
STEP 4: Stir in the chocolate and gently heat through, ensuring that sauce does not boil. Finally, stir in the Coriander Leaf and serve.
STEP 5: Delicious served with rice and green salad.
