Hot Chocolate Pots

Deliciously sweet and chocolatey puddings with a gooey middle, delicately spiced with Cinnamon and a hint of Chilli.

  • Pre-heat the oven to 180°C, 350°F, Gas Mark 4.

  • Grease 6 individual ramekins and dust with flour.

  • Mix together the flour, 125g (5oz) of the sugar, 4 tbs cocoa powder, baking powder, Crushed Chillies, Cinnamon and Salt.

  • Add the milk and oil and blend until smooth.

  • Pour the mixture evenly into the ramekins. Mix the remaining sugar and cocoa powder together and sprinkle evenly on top of each ramekin. Pour 2 tbs of boiling water on each, without stirring.

  • Place on a baking tray and cook in the oven for 15-20 minutes.

  • Serve immediately with whipped cream, if desired.
