Tomato and mushroom

Try frying a handful of sliced mushrooms and couple of chopped shallots with a little Schwartz Garlic Cooking Paste for 4-5 minutes. Add a handful of sliced cherry tomatoes, sprinkle with Schwartz Basil and add a splash of double cream. Heat through, then use as a filling for pancakes. To make them extra special roll pancakes around filling, place in an oven proof dish, sprinkle with cheese and place under a pre-heated grill until golden.

Ham Spinach Cheese

Ham Spinach & Cheese

Try wilting a couple of large handfuls of spinach in a pan with few sliced spring onions. Squeeze off any excessive moisture, turn heat down and add 250g cream cheese and 250g cooked diced ham. Add a pinch of Schwartz Nutmeg and season to taste with Schwartz Sea Salt and Black Pepper. Fill pancakes and enjoy!

Butterscotch and Ginger Sauce for pancakes

Butterscotch and Ginger Sauce for pancakes

Try making a delicious butterscotch sauce for pancakes. Simply melt 25g butter in a saucepan over a medium heat, add 100g brown sugar and cook for 3-4 minutes until the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and add 125g double cream along with ½ tsp Schwartz Ginger Ground. Return to heat and heat through, serve over pancakes with vanilla ice cream

Charred Orange Black rum and Allspice pancakes

Charred Orange, Black rum and Allspice pancakes

Make a delicious sweet sauce for pancakes by placing 75g granulated sugar and a splash of orange juice in a pan and heat until it starts to caramelise. Add 75ml more orange juice, 2 tbs black rum, a pinch of Schwartz Allspice and 3 tbs of butter and heat for a further 2-3 minutes until smooth. Pour over pancakes and garnish with charred orange segments made by placing segments on a baking tray, topping with sugar and placing under a hot grill until lightly charred.

To make a simple fruity sauce to go with your pancakes place 450g mixed frozen berries, 100g caster sugar, ¼ tsp Schwartz Cinnamon Ground and a splash of water in a sauce pan. Heat for around 15 minutes until thick and syrupy. Serve with pancakes and whipped cream.

Basil, chocolate and passion fruit

Try making a delicious passion fruit cream filling for pancakes by beating together 125g mascarpone cheese, the juice of 2 passion fruit 2 tbs caster sugar and the seeds from a Schwartz vanilla pod. Finish pancakes by drizzling with a chocolate and Basil sauce made by melting 125g chocolate, 50ml whipping cream and 1 tsp Schwartz Basil in a pan. Stir in 2 tbs golden syrup and 25g butter at the end to give a glossy sauce.
