Pre-heat the oven to 180°C, 350°F, Gas Mark 4.
Pre-heat a stove proof casserole dish with 1 tbs of oil and seal your beef, transfer out of casserole pot and set aside.
Add remaining oil to the casserole dish and sauté carrots, baby onions and celery. Soften for 8 mins on a medium heat, return the beef to the dish add the ale and water along with the Schwartz Slow Cookers Beef & Ale Mix and tomato purée, stir well.
Cover and cook in the oven for 1 hr and 25 mins.
Serve this delicious tender beef casserole with creamy mash.
