Beef & Ale Casserole

  • Pre-heat the oven to 180°C, 350°F, Gas Mark 4.

  • Pre-heat a stove proof casserole dish with 1 tbs of oil and seal your beef, transfer out of casserole pot and set aside.

  • Add remaining oil to the casserole dish and sauté carrots, baby onions and celery. Soften for 8 mins on a medium heat, return the beef to the dish add the ale and water along with the Schwartz Slow Cookers Beef & Ale Mix and tomato purée, stir well.

  • Cover and cook in the oven for 1 hr and 25 mins.

  • Serve this delicious tender beef casserole with creamy mash.
