Bacon Tagliatelle with Mushrooms

This quick and easy recipe uses store cupboard ingredients to create a tasty pasta dish with bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes.
  • 100 gram (4 ounce) mushrooms, sliced

  • 400 gram tin chopped tomatoes

  • 1 sachet Bacon Tagliatelle with Mushrooms

  • 50 millilitre (2 fluid ounce) water

  • 1 tablespoons tomato puree

  • 275 gram (10 ounce) tagliatelle, cooked and drained

  • 1 teaspoon oil

  • 200 gram (8 ounce) bacon, chopped

  • 1 Heat oil and fry bacon for 1-2 minutes. Drain excess liquid.
  • 2 Add mushrooms and fry for a further 1-2 minutes. Add tomatoes, sachet contents, water and tomato purée. Bring to the boil, stirring.
  • 3 Simmer for 5 minutes and then combine the sauce with the tagliatelle.
  • 4 Serve with a crisp green salad and garlic bread.
