  • Cook the rice, Turmeric and Salt in 600ml (1 pint) boiling water for 10-12 minutes. Drain and rinse with boiling water.

  • Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the remaining ingredients for 2-3 minutes. Add the rice and heat through.

  • Serve either hot or cold as a salad.
