Brighten up your morning with this beautiful smoothie bowl. Bursting with goodness, this healthy breakfast features fruit and veg in a trio of rainbow colours: yellow bananas, pink raspberries and green avocado, lime and spinach. The creamy avocado and frozen bananas are the perfect base for this smoothie bowl, making up a nice thick texture. Adding a big handful of fresh spinach is a great way to get more veg into your diet, and the sweet raspberries override its earthy flavour – however, the spinach will turn it bright green. Once you’ve whizzed everything up in a blender, you can get creative with the toppings. Chia seeds are a great way to add a protein boost, but there’s plenty of other seeds you could try, like pumpkin or sunflower. A healthy breakfast never tasted – or looked – so good.
Ingredients
1/2 avocado
2 Medium bananas, sliced and frozen
Raspberries, handful
spinach , handful
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon Ground
1/2 teaspoon Ground Ginger
200 millilitre Almond Milk
1 Lime, juice of
Mixed Berries and Chia Seed, to garnish
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Place all ingredients except the garnishes in a smoothie maker and blend until smooth.
- 2 Pour into 2 bowls and top with mixed berries and chia then serve immediately.
