Hawaiian Rice Salad
Ingredients
175 gram (6 ounce) long grain rice
1 teaspoon Pilau Rice Seasoning
1 large orange, peeled and segmented
50 gram (2 ounce) raisins
225 gram (8 ounce) tin pineapple pieces, drained
40 gram (1 1/2 ounce) flaked almonds, toasted
1 red eating apple, cored and chopped
2 tablespoons oil
2 teaspoon clear honey
Juice of half a lemon
1/2 teaspoon Ground Ginger
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Cook the rice in boiling water with the Pilau Rice Seasoning until tender. Drain and allow to cool.
- 2 Stir in the orange, raisins, pineapple, almonds and apple.
- 3 Blend the oil with the honey, lemon juice and Ginger and pour over the salad. Chill before serving.
