Ham & Spinach 'Crepes'
Ingredients
1 tablespoons oil
1 onion, chopped
400 gram (14 ounce) tin chopped tomatoes
4 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon caster sugar
1 teaspoon Garlic Italian Seasoning
Ground Black Pepper , and Pinch of salt
450 gram (1 pound) frozen leaf spinach
8 slices ham
100 gram (4 ounce) Cheddar cheese, grated
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Heat the oil in a saucepan and gently fry the onion until softened. Add the tomatoes, water, sugar and Garlic Italian Seasoning. Season to taste with salt and Black Pepper.
- 2 Meanwhile, cook the spinach according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Drain thoroughly and season with salt and Black Pepper. Place approximately 1 tbs spinach on each slice of ham and roll up.
- 3 Place in a warmed serving dish and pour over the tomato sauce. Top with cheese and place under a pre-heated grill for 2-3 minutes or until golden and bubbling.
