A traditional family dish for pork, cooked with apple in a delicious cider flavoured sauce and seasoned with herbs. Delicious served with sautéed potatoes and steamed green beans.
- 1 tbs oil
- 450 g (1 lb) lean pork, cubed or 4 pork chops
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 sachet Schwartz Somerset Pork Casserole
- 300 ml (½ pint) water
- 1 apple, cored and sliced
STEP 1: Preheat the oven to 190°C, 375°F, Gas Mark 5.
STEP 2: Heat oil, fry pork and onion for 3-4 minutes. Transfer to a casserole dish.
STEP 3: Mix sachet contents with water and add to casserole dish. Cover and cookfor 1 hour or until meat is tender, adding the apple for the last 30 minutes.
STEP 4: Serve with sautéed potatoes.
