This Ginger and Turmeric Tea recipe is a great way to add plenty of anti-inflammatory ingredients to your day with a healing beverage. Tasty, comforting and simple to put together, this tea will help to keep you healthy and feeling your best! You can even take it a step further and add a dash of Schwartz Cayenne Pepper, thought to help clear toxins from your body.
Commonly this drink is served hot, however it can be just as delicious as an iced tea (just let it cool in the fridge, and add ice).
Nice and flexible, the tea can be great for the kids as well. Simply add a little more agave syrup or honey to sweeten it up (without the need for refined sugar).
1. Combine Schwartz Cinnamon Sticks, Schwartz Ground Turmeric, Schwartz Ground Ginger and the water in a saucepan. Bring to boil on a medium-high heat.
2. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
3. Turn off the heat, mix in lemon juice and agave syrup or honey (you can suit this to your taste, we usually start with 1 tsp).
4. Strain the tea through a fine strainer to remove the spices and divide between 2 cups.
