Stay Warm This Winter, Try These Festive Drinks With A Twist

There is food… and Christmas food. But what about drinks? No beverage should be the same on holidays season! Let’s add a little Christmas to your coffee, or enjoy a healthy hot drink with a magical sparkle. The power of ginger, the sweetness of cinnamon, the intensity of turmeric… try them all to find your favourite flavour!

Serves 1

Winter Wonderland Latte

• 1 tablespoon pumpkin purée
• juice and zest of 1 orange
• 125 millilitres (4 fluid ounces) milk
• 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
• 1/2 teaspoon Schwartz Ground Cinnamon
• 1 pinch Schwartz Nutmeg
• 1 espresso
• 1 tablespoon whipped cream

In a bowl, mix the mashed pumpkin with the juice and orange zest.
Heat the milk and syrup in a small saucepan, add the purée, Cinnamon
and Nutmeg. Pour the mixture into a mug and add an espresso and a little
whipped cream on top.
Sprinkle with Cinnamon and enjoy immediately.

The Turmeric Twist

• 275 millilitres (9 fluid ounces) almond or coconut milk
• 1 tablespoon honey
• 1/2 teaspoon Schwartz Ground Turmeric
• 1/2 teaspoon Schwartz Ground Cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon Schwartz Ground Ginger
• 1 small pinch Schwartz Black Pepper

Pour all the ingredients into a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
Whisk to mix the ingredients. Reduce heat to low and let steep for 10
minutes. Just before serving, add honey or a pinch of Cinnamon to taste.

Oriental Christmas Cup

• 275 millilitres (9 fluid ounces) almond milk
• 1 tablespoon honey
• 2 teaspoons dried rose petal
• 1 teaspoon Schwartz Ground Cardamom
• 1 teaspoon Schwartz Ground Cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon Schwartz Ground Ginger

Pour all the ingredients into a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Whisk to
mix the ingredients. Reduce heat to low and let steep for 10 minutes. Just
before serving, you can add rose water or sprinkle with dried rose petals.

The Toasty Unicorn

• 275 millilitres (9 fluid ounces) coconut milk
• 2 tablespoons honey
• 1 teaspoon ground spirulina
• 1/2 teaspoon Schwartz Ground Ginger
• 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Pour all the ingredients into a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Whisk to
mix the ingredients. Reduce heat to low and let steep for 10 minutes. Just
before serving, add lemon juice.
