Schwartz Rubs of the World Competition 2026

Terms and Conditions

26th June to 24th July

 

Acceptance: By entering this prize draw in accordance with clause 2 below, entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions. McCormick (UK) Limited, trading under the licensed brand name Schwartz ("Promoter"), reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse, remove or disqualify any entry that does not comply with these terms and conditions.

 

Entry Requirements
(a) The promotion is open to entries submitted via either:
(i) Instagram or Facebook; or
(ii) the free entry route by email.
Social Media Entry Route
(b) To enter via Instagram or Facebook, entrants must:
• Create and upload either a video or an image that clearly features:
• A finished dish prepared using a Schwartz Rubs of the World product;
• Upload the content as a grid post on Instagram or Facebook;
• Tag @schwartz.uk; and
• Include the following hashtags in the caption:
#Schwartz
#SchwartzRubs
(c) Entries submitted via Instagram or Facebook must be posted from a public account so that they can be viewed by the Promoter.
(d) All content submitted must be the original work of the entrant. Reposts, shares, or content copied from another person will not be accepted.

 

Free Entry Route
(e) No purchase is necessary. To enter without making a purchase, entrants may submit an entry by emailing jess@pangolinpr.com during the Promotion Period and providing:
• Their full name;
• A contact email address; and
• A recipe description explaining how they would use a Schwartz Rubs of the World product in a dish.
(f) Entries submitted via the free entry route will be entered into the prize draw on the same basis as entries submitted via Instagram or Facebook.
(g) Multiple entries are permitted. Each unique Instagram or Facebook post, or each unique recipe submitted via the free entry route, will count as one entry.
(h) The promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over. The following are not eligible to enter:
• Employees of the Promoter;
• Employees of any company professionally associated with this promotion;
• Any agency, supplier or representative involved in administering the promotion;
• Affiliates, influencers or content creators engaged by the Promoter; and
• Any individual who has received free samples of the Schwartz Rubs of the World range from the
Promoter in connection with this promotion or any related promotional activity.

 

Entry Conditions: No entry fee is required. Internet access and either a valid Instagram account, Facebook account, or email account are required to participate.
No purchase is necessary. Entries submitted via the free entry route described above will have an equal chance of winning as entries submitted via Instagram or Facebook.

 

Prize: There is one (1) prize available to be won consisting of:
• EasyJet voucher(s) with a combined value of up to £2,000; and
• One suitcase containing products from the Schwartz Rubs of the World range.

The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative will be offered. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize, or any element of it, with a prize of equal or greater value where circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary.

Any costs and expenses not expressly included within the prize description are the responsibility of the winner.

 

Promotion Period: The promotion opens at 7:00 a.m. (BST) on 26 June 2026 and closes at 12:00 p.m. (BST) on 24 July 2026. Entries received after the closing date and time will not be accepted. The Promoter reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the promotion where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Winner Selection: One (1) winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received during the promotion period.

 

Winner Notification and Prize Claim: The winner will be notified via direct message and/or by comment on the relevant competition post within a reasonable period following the closing date. The winner must respond within 72 hours of the notification being sent. If a winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond within the stated period, is found to be ineligible, or otherwise fails to comply with these terms and conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select an alternative winner.

 

Entries: The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted, incorrectly submitted, lost, delayed or not received for any reason, including technical failures of any kind.

 

Personal Data: By entering the promotion, entrants confirm that all information submitted is accurate, complete and up to date. Any personal data provided will be processed by the Promoter as data controller for the purposes of administering the promotion, contacting winners and arranging prize fulfilment. Personal data will not be disclosed to third parties except where necessary for the administration of the promotion and fulfilment of the prize, or where required by law. Responsible Entries: Entries must not contain material that is unlawful, offensive, abusive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, indecent, discriminatory, hateful or otherwise inappropriate.

Entries must not promote excessive or irresponsible alcohol consumption, violence, illegal activity, discrimination or hatred based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, disability, age or sexual orientation. The Promoter reserves the right to remove or disqualify any entry it reasonably considers to breach these requirements.

 

Publicity and Intellectual Property: The winner may be invited, but shall not be obliged, to participate in reasonable publicity relating to the promotion. By entering the promotion, entrants grant the Promoter a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, publish, display, edit and communicate their submitted content, including any photographs, videos, captions and associated materials, in any media for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without additional compensation. Entrants warrant that they own all rights in their submitted content and that such content does not infringe the rights of any third party.

 

Winner Information: The surname and county of residence of the winner may be made available on request in accordance with the Promoter's legal obligations. Entrants may object to or limit such disclosure by contacting the Promoter. The Promoter will consider such requests in accordance with applicable law.

 

Promoter's Decision: The Promoter's decision is final in all matters relating to the promotion and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant where it reasonably believes that entrant has breached these terms and conditions or acted fraudulently.

 

Liability: Entrants hereby waive all rights to claim, direct, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages. Unless otherwise prohibited by law, the Promoter or its associated companies, including anyone professionally associated with this competition, will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage, costs, expenses, etc., including injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, from any entrant’s participation in the competition or from any prize.

The Promoter's failure to enforce any provision of these terms and conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Facebook. By entering, entrants acknowledge that they are providing their information to the Promoter and not to Instagram or Facebook.
