A New Orleans style chicken style dish with Smoked Paprika and Allspice, great for the family to enjoy.
Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Granules

  • 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme

  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika

  • ¼ teaspoon Ground Allspice

  • ¼ teaspoon Hot Chilli Powder

  • 1 green pepper, diced

  • 450 gram (1 pound) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced

  • 400 gram tin chopped tomatoes

  • 1 tablespoons tomato purée

  • 150 millilitre (¼ pint) water

  • Sea Salt, to season

Instructions

  • 1 Heat the olive oil and fry the onions for 3-4 minutes until soft.
  • 2 Add the Garlic, herbs and spices and fry for 30 seconds.
  • 3 Toss in the pepper and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • 4 Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through. Season to taste. Serve with rice.
