A festive starter to enjoy before a main meal.
  • 200 grams (7oz) of red lentils

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 2 tablespoons tahini (sesame cream or sesame oil if you don't have it)

  • A few pinches of salt

  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin

  • 1 teaspoon Schwartz Turmeric

  • 1 clove of garlic

  • 1 1. Cook the red lentils for 10 minutes in boiling water. Drain them and let them cool.
  • 2 2. Mix the lentils, olive oil, lemon juice, tahini, salt, cumin, turmeric and garlic clove until you obtain a smooth paste.
  • 3 3. Pour the spread into a small jar and keep cool until tasting.
  • 4 4. Enjoy with toasted slices of bread or sesame seed breadsticks.
