Aromatic Saffron Rice

3 Bay Leaves

25 gram (1 ounce) unsalted butter

225 gram (8 ounce) basmati rice

½ teaspoon Sea Salt

pinch Saffron Spice

1 teaspoon Fennel Seeds

Instructions
- 1 Rinse the rice thoroughly in cold running water. Place in a large pan of boiling water together with the Salt, Saffron, Cardamom, Fennel Seeds, Cloves, Cinnamon and Bay Leaves.
- 2 Cook uncovered for 12-14 minutes or until the rice is tender. Drain and rinse in a sieve with boiling water. Gently stir in the butter until melted. Remove the whole spices, if desired, before serving.
- 3 This mildly spiced Indian rice is great with all spicy curries.
