Beef in Peppercorn Sauce
Ingredients
  • 450 gram (1 pound) frying steak, cut into strips

  • 2 tablespoons soured cream

  • 100 gram (4 ounce) button mushrooms, halved

  • 2 teaspoon cornflour

  • 150 millilitre (¼ pint) beef stock

  • 1 tablespoons Black Peppercorns Mill

  • 1 teaspoon wholegrain mustard

  • 1 tablespoons oil

  • Sea Salt

Instructions

  • 1 Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the steak for 2-3 minutes. Add the mushrooms and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • 2 Blend the cornflour with the stock and add to the pan with the Peppercorns, mustard and Salt. Bring to the boil, stirring until thickened. Stir in the cream.
  • 3 Serve with rice.
