A luxury chilli con carne made with red wine.
Ingredients
450 gram (1 pound) minced beef
1 onion, chopped
1 tablespoons Coriander Leaf
½ tablespoons Smoked Paprika
1 teaspoon Minced Garlic
1 teaspoon Chilli Flakes
½ teaspoon Ground Cumin
½ teaspoon Ground Coriander
¼ teaspoon Cinnamon Ground
400 gram tin chopped tomatoes
400 gram tin kidney beans, drained and rinsed
125 millilitre (4 fluid ounce) red wine
1 tablespoons tomato purée
1 beef stock cube
75 millilitre (3 fluid ounce) water
Schwartz Sea Salt and Black Pepper to season
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Fry the minced beef with the onion in a non-stick sauté pan, until it begins to brown for 5-8 minutes.
- 2 Add the Coriander Leaf, Paprika, Garlic, Chilli, Cumin, Coriander Ground and Cinnamon and stir thoroughly.
- 3 Add the chopped tomatoes, kidney beans, red wine, tomato purée, stock cube and water.
- 4 Bring to the boil then simmer gently for 20 minutes uncovered.
- 5 Season to taste then serve.
