Irresistible sticky BBQ Chicken Wings
Ingredients
  • 450 grams (1 bag) chicken wings

  • Marinade:

  • 2 tablespoons tomato ketchup

  • 2 teaspoons BBQ Seasoning

  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce

  • Organic Black Pepper Ground Medium , to taste

  • Garnish:

  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seed , toasted

  • 2 spring onions, finely shredded

Cooking tip
  1. Heat the rest of the marinade until it is reduced to a thick sticky sauce. Remove the chicken wings from their skewers and add to the sauce. Toss to coat the wings and then garnish with toasted sesame seeds and spring onions. 

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1 Cut the chicken wings into drumettes and flats. Keep the wingtips for stock or discard. 
  • 2 In a bowl mix together all the marinade ingredients and add the chicken wings. Toss to coat with the marinade and leave absorb the flavours for an hour, or best results overnight.
  • 3 Remove the chicken from the marinade and reserve in a small saucepan. Thread the chicken onto skewers keeping drumettes together and flats together as they cook for different times. 
  • 4 Heat the BBQ until the coals are ready and cook the chicken for around 20 minutes, or until cooked through. You can also bake in the oven on a rack for 30 – 40 minutes at 180°’C, 350°F, Gas Mark 5 until crispy and cooked through. 
  • 5 Heat the rest of the marinade until it is reduced to a thick sticky sauce. Remove the chicken wings from their skewers and add to the sauce. Toss to coat the wings and then garnish with toasted sesame seeds and spring onions.
