This twist on the traditional hot chocolate makes for a truly indulgent Christmas treat. Rich, melted chocolate, blended with a zesty hint of orange, and mulled gently with a choice selection of Schwartz spices, including Schwartz Cinnamon, which has been aged for 20 years... all to create an intensely satisfying flavour you’ll want to savour. Preferably curled up on the couch, with a good movie.
Pour the milk into a large pan on a low heat and let it warm through for a few minutes. Add the zest, the Cinnamon, the Star Anise, the Szechuan Pepper and turn the heat up. Once boiling, add the chocolate then stir to combine.
Turn down to a simmer and leave to tick away for 2 minutes.
Strain and pour the hot mulled chocolate into 8 cups.
