Succulent cod fillets simmered in a delicious creamy sauce flavoured with aromatic Parsley and Chives, and topped with mashed potato before grilling for a quick and easy fish pie.
Ingredients
1 sachet Parsley & Chive Sauce
450 millilitre (¾ pint) milk
350 gram (12 ounce) cod fillets (smoked or unsmoked)
25 gram (1 ounce) butter
100 gram (4 ounce) cooked prawns
125 gram (5 ounce) frozen peas
450 gram (1 pound) mashed potato
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Mix the Schwartz Parsley & Chive Sauce Mix with the milk in a large saucepan. Add the cod fillets and bring to the boil, stirring, for 5 minutes until the sauce has thickened. Add the butter, prawns and peas and simmer for 5 minutes.
- 2 Transfer to a heatproof dish and top with the mashed potato. Place under a pre-heated grill until golden.
