A rustic crumble flavoured with sweet Cinnamon and aromatic Allspice.
Pre-heat oven to 180°C, 350°F, Gas Mark 4.
Toss the apple and pear slices with the lemon juice and Vanilla Seeds in a large bowl. Mix in the Cinnamon and sugar. Sprinkle over the fruit and toss to coat well. Spoon into a greased baking dish.
For the topping, mix the flour, oats, Allspice, Cinnamon in a medium bowl. Rub the butter into the flour until coarse crumbs form, add the sugar and the nuts, then sprinkle evenly over the fruit.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the fruit is tender and the topping is golden brown.
