Chefs use Sea Salt to add flavour, texture and colour to a dish. Take Sea Salt to the next level by adding dried sour cherries, cider vinegar, Thyme and bacon. Sprinkle as a finishing flavour over roast pork or chicken, salads, quinoa and rice.
Ingredients
125 millilitre (4 fluid ounce) cider vinegar
75 gram (3 ounce) Sea Salt Big Pack
2 tablespoons dried cherries, finely chopped
2 tablespoons crisply cooked bacon, finely chopped
½ teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
½ teaspoon Dried Thyme
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Heat vinegar in small non-stick pan on medium heat for 15-20 minutes, or until reduced to 1 tbs. Add Sea Salt, cook and stir for 5 minutes, or until Sea Salt is dried. Transfer to a baking sheet and spread the salt thinly. Allow to cool, then break salt up if it has clumped together.
- 2 Mix Sea Salt and remaining ingredients in small bowl until well blended. Store in a tightly covered jar in the refrigerator. If needed, break up any clumps before using.
