Delicious noodles, chestnut mushrooms, prawns and spring onions stir fried with soy sauce and Chinese 5 Spice Seasoning for a quick and easy mid-week meal packed full of flavour.
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil

  • 1 onion, finely sliced

  • 5 spring onions, diagonally sliced

  • 100 gram (4 ounce) chestnut mushrooms, finely sliced

  • 350 gram (12 ounce) large raw prawns, peeled

  • 225 gram (8 ounce) fine egg thread noodles, cooked and drained

  • 4 tablespoons light soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons Chinese 5 Spice


  • 1 Heat the oil in the wok and add the onion. Stir fry for 2 minutes. Toss in most of the spring onions, all of the chestnut mushrooms and the prawns. Add a splash of water to the wok and stir fry for 2 minutes.
  • 2 Add the cooked and drained noodles and toss the ingredients over a high heat for 3 minutes, until the prawns are piping hot and cooked through. Stir in the soy sauce and Chinese 5 Spice Seasoning. Toss well and serve garnished with the reserved spring onions.
