  • 450 gram (1 pound) carrots, cut into thin sticks

  • 2 tablespoons water

  • 1 teaspoon Caraway Seeds

  • 15 gram (1/2 ounce) butter

  • 1 teaspoon soft brown sugar

  • Salt

  • 1 tablespoons Flat Leaf Parsley , sherry (optional)

  • 1 Place the carrots in a large pan with the water and Caraway Seeds. Cover and simmer gently for about 10 minutes until the carrots are tender. Drain and return to the pan.
  • 2 Add the butter sugar and salt and cook for another 5 minutes, adding the sherry (if using) for the last couple of minutes of the cooking time.
  • 3 Stir in the Parsley.
