Chargrilled New Potatoes
Jazz up your summer vegetable side dish in no time with our tasty new potatoes recipe. While you may be more used to meat and vegetable kebabs on the BBQ, popping new potatoes onto a skewer to grill leaves the skin beautifully charcoaled on the outside with a fluffy texture on the inside. All you need to enhance the natural sweetness of new potatoes is a sprinkle of our Garlic Italian Seasoning. This expertly blended seasoning combines the country’s most popular herbs of oregano and basil with garlic, onion and pepper, meaning all the flavour pairing work is done for you. Serve this seasonal side dish at a summer BBQ as the perfect accompaniment to a variety of salads and meats.
- 1 Thread the potatoes onto 4 skewers and wrap in foil. Place on the barbecue for 30-40 minutes or until cooked.
- 2 (Alternatively, bake at 200C, 400F, Gas Mark 6, unwrapped).
- 3 Remove the foil. Blend the Garlic Italian Seasoning, salt and oil together in a bowl and use to brush over the potatoes. Place back on the barbecue or under a pre-heated grill and cook for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally, basting with any remaining oil mixture.
