Deep Fried Mushrooms with Herb & Garlic Dip

For the dip:

300 millilitre (1/2 pint) soured cream

2 teaspoon Dried Dill

1/2 teaspoon Garlic Granules

Salt and Ground White Pepper , to taste

450 gram (1 pound) button mushrooms

2 tablespoons plain flour

2 medium eggs - beaten
-
175 gram (6 ounce) Herbes de Provence , and 175 g (6 oz) seasoned brown breadcrumbs - mixed together

Oil for deep frying

Instructions
- 1 Combine the ingredients for the dip and refrigerate until required.
- 2 Toss the mushrooms in the flour followed by the beaten egg. Thoroughly coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- 3 Deep fry in hot oil for 4-5 minutes or until golden.
- 4 Drain on kitchen paper and serve hot, accompanied by the dip.
