5-minute Ultimate Steak Burrito

Juicy steak flavoured with Schwartz Cajun Seasoning, with beans, rice, salsa, avocado, cheese… and more in the ultimate beef burrito wrap!
  • 200 rib eye steak

  • 3 teaspoons Cajun Seasoning

  • 175 grams (6 ounces) black beans

  • 1 small red onion, sliced

  • 2 1/2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

  • 2 teaspoon soft brown sugar

  • 2 vine tomatoes, roughly chopped

  • handful coriander, chopped

  • 2 spring onions, finely sliced

  • 4 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 avocado

  • 1 lime

  • 1 large tortilla wrap

  • 2 tablespoons soured cream

  • 100 grams (4 ounces) cooked rice

  • 50 grams (2 ounces) strong Cheddar cheese, grated

  • Schwartz Sea Salt and Black Pepper to season


  • 1 Remove steak from refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to allow to come to room temperature. Rub with 2 tsp Cajun Seasoning then set aside. Place a pan over a high heat and once smoking add the black beans, along with the remaining Cajun Seasoning and season to taste, set aside.
  • 2 In a small bowl combine the onion with the vinegar, sugar and a pinch of salt and set aside. For the salsa in a small bowl combine the tomatoes, coriander, spring onions, half of the olive oil and a pinch of salt. Finally mash the avocado with the lime zest and a pinch of salt and set aside.
  • 3 Heat a griddle pan over a high heat, drizzle olive oil over the steak and rub in. Cook steak for around 2-3 minutes on each side, then allow to rest whilst you build the burrito.
  • 4 In the hot griddle pan heat the tortilla wrap for 30 seconds on each side. Smear sour cream at the base of the tortilla, then spoon on an even layer of cooked rice, followed by beans, salsa and avocado. Carefully slice steak into strips and place on top. Sprinkle over cheddar and melt cheese using a blow torch or under a hot grill. Top with the pickled onion slices and serve.
