Five Spice Beef
Ingredients
2 tablespoons oil
450 gram (1 pound) rump steak, cut into thin strips
2 tablespoons Chinese 5 Spice
100 gram (4 ounce) button mushrooms, sliced
1 red pepper, sliced
1 tablespoons dark soy sauce
1 tablespoons black bean sauce
2 teaspoon cornflour, blended with 2 tbs water
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Heat the oil in a large frying pan or wok and stir fry the meat over a high heat for 3-4 minutes. Add the Chinese 5 Spice Seasoning, mushrooms and red pepper and cook for a further 1 minute.
- 2 Add the soy sauce, black bean sauce and cornflour paste and stir thoroughly until thickened.
- 3 Simmer for 1 minute before serving.
