Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons oil

  • 450 gram (1 pound) rump steak, cut into thin strips

  • 2 tablespoons Chinese 5 Spice

  • 100 gram (4 ounce) button mushrooms, sliced

  • 1 red pepper, sliced

  • 1 tablespoons dark soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoons black bean sauce

  • 2 teaspoon cornflour, blended with 2 tbs water

Instructions

  • 1 Heat the oil in a large frying pan or wok and stir fry the meat over a high heat for 3-4 minutes. Add the Chinese 5 Spice Seasoning, mushrooms and red pepper and cook for a further 1 minute.
  • 2 Add the soy sauce, black bean sauce and cornflour paste and stir thoroughly until thickened.
  • 3 Simmer for 1 minute before serving.
