Creamy Rice Pudding

75 gram (3 ounce) short grain pudding rice
50 gram (2 ounce) caster sugar
900 millilitre milk
25 gram (1 ounce) butter
Whole Nutmeg , , to grate
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Pre-heat the oven to 200°C, 400°F, Gas Mark 6.
- 2 Place the rice, sugar, Bay Leaves and milk in a large ovenproof dish. Cut the butter into small pieces and add to the dish. Stir well and sprinkle with freshly grated Nutmeg.
- 3 Bake for 30 minutes. Reduce the temperature to 325°F, 170°C, Gas Mark 3, and cook for another 1½ hours or until most of the milk has been absorbed.
