Creamy Rice Pudding
Pre-heat the oven to 200°C, 400°F, Gas Mark 6.
Place the rice, sugar, Bay Leaves and milk in a large ovenproof dish. Cut the butter into small pieces and add to the dish. Stir well and sprinkle with freshly grated Nutmeg.
Bake for 30 minutes. Reduce the temperature to 325°F, 170°C, Gas Mark 3, and cook for another 1½ hours or until most of the milk has been absorbed.
