Make this basic pancake recipe and serve with our delicious Orange Sauce and Chocolate Sauce drizzled over. They go really well together.
Ingredients
Basic Pancake Recipe:
100 gram (4 ounce) plain flour
1 egg
300 millilitre (½ pint) milk
Orange Sauce:
150 millilitre (¼ pint) orange juice
3 tablespoons orange marmalade
1 tablespoons Cointreau or orange liqueur
2 teaspoon cornflour
pinch Ground Ginger , or Schwartz Ground Allspice
Chocolate Sauce:
150 millilitre (¼ pint) double cream
4 tablespoons chocolate and hazelnut spread
pinch Cinnamon Ground

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Heat all the ingedients in a small saucepan, bring to the boil, stirring continuously until thickened. Delicious served with pancakes and crème fraîche.
- 2 Heat all the ingredients in a small saucepan, stirring continuously until warm and thickened. Delicious served with pancakes and sliced banana.
- 3 In a large bowl mix together the flour, egg and milk and beat well until smooth.
- 4 Heat a little oil in a frying pan and pour about 2-3 tablespoons of the mixture into the pan. Tilt and move the pan until the mixture covers the base evenly. Cook on a medium heat for 30-60 seconds until golden. Flip the pancake and cook on the other side.
- 5 Keep the pancake warm and repeat with the remainder of the batter. Serve the pancakes with the sauces below.
