Make this basic pancake recipe and serve with our delicious Orange Sauce and Chocolate Sauce drizzled over. They go really well together.
Ingredients
  • Basic Pancake Recipe:

  • 100 gram (4 ounce) plain flour

  • 1 egg

  • 300 millilitre (½ pint) milk

  • Orange Sauce:

  • 150 millilitre (¼ pint) orange juice

  • 3 tablespoons orange marmalade

  • 1 tablespoons Cointreau or orange liqueur

  • 2 teaspoon cornflour

  • pinch Ground Ginger , or Schwartz Ground Allspice

  • Chocolate Sauce:

  • 150 millilitre (¼ pint) double cream

  • 4 tablespoons chocolate and hazelnut spread

  • pinch Cinnamon Ground

Instructions

  • 1 Heat all the ingedients in a small saucepan, bring to the boil, stirring continuously until thickened. Delicious served with pancakes and crème fraîche.
  • 2 Heat all the ingredients in a small saucepan, stirring continuously until warm and thickened. Delicious served with pancakes and sliced banana.
  • 3 In a large bowl mix together the flour, egg and milk and beat well until smooth.
  • 4 Heat a little oil in a frying pan and pour about 2-3 tablespoons of the mixture into the pan. Tilt and move the pan until the mixture covers the base evenly. Cook on a medium heat for 30-60 seconds until golden. Flip the pancake and cook on the other side.
  • 5 Keep the pancake warm and repeat with the remainder of the batter. Serve the pancakes with the sauces below.
