BBQ Tofu Veggie Skewers with Sriracha Marinade

BBQ Tofu Veggie Skewers with Sriracha Marinade

These BBQ tofu veggie skewers are tasty and easy to make. Perfect for a healthy summer meal to share amongst family and friends.

Tofu is a great meat alternative making it suitable for vegetarian or vegan guests. I always find people are impressed with this recipe due to the marinade. The Sriracha Seasoning pack brings an exciting sweet and spicy kick to the skewers.

Feel free to change the tofu and any vegetables of your own desire, however this is what I would suggest.

  • Marinade

  • 1/4 onion, diced

  • 1 pack Sriracha Seasoning

  • 50 millilitres (2 fluid ounce) soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil

  • 1 jalapeno pepper, diced

  • Skewers

  • 200 grams (7 ounces) extra firm tofu, drained and sliced into ½ inch chunks.

  • 1 courgette, sliced.

  • 10 chestnut mushrooms

  • 1 red bell pepper cut into squares

  • A pack of skewers

  • 1 Mix the onion, Schwartz Sriracha Seasoning, soy sauce, sesame oil, jalapeno, and pepper in a small bowl to prepare the marinade.
  • 2 Chop the tofu, red bell pepper and courgette, place them in a bowl along with the mushrooms.
  • 3 Pour the marinade over the tofu and vegetables. Toss lightly to coat. Cover, and leave to marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  • 4 Preheat an outdoor BBQ grill medium-high heat, and lightly oil the grate
  • 5 Thread tofu and vegetables on to skewers. Grill each skewer for 10 minutes.
  • 6 Use any remaining marinade as a dipping sauce.
