This Moroccan Lamb Tagine is spiced with Schwartz expertly blended Moroccan Seasoning, with added sweetness from apricots and honey.
Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 onion, sliced

  • 450 gram (1 pound) lamb, diced

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Moroccan Spice Mix

  • 200 gram (7 ounce) tin chopped tomatoes

  • 300 millilitre (½ pint) water

  • 50 gram (2 ounce) dried apricots and/or sultanas

  • 1 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  • 1 Heat the oil in the tagine base over a medium heat and fry the onion for 3-4 minutes until softened. Add the lamb and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  • 2 Add the remaining ingredients. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  • 3 Reduce the heat to low, cover with the tagine lid and cook very gently on the stove top for 1 hour 15 minutes, or until lamb is tender, stirring occasionally.
