With just six basic ingredients, the whole dish is tied together with the zingy flavours of our Shepherd’s Pie Recipe Mix. Our special blend really brings out the flavour of many lamb recipes, with every sachet packed with paprika, garlic and bay leaves in the perfect combination. This magical shepherd’s pie goes wonderfully with a simple side of steamed green vegetables.
450 gram (1 pound) minced lamb or beef
1 onion, diced
2 carrots, peeled and diced
1 sachet Shepherd's Pie Recipe Mix
200 millilitre (7 fluid ounce) water
100 gram (4 ounce) peas
675 gram (1½ pounds) mashed potato
- 1 Transfer to an ovenproof dish and cover with potato. Cook for 20-25 minutes.
- 2 Serve with steamed green vegetables.
- 3 Pre-heat the oven to 200°C, 400°F, Gas Mark 6.
- 4 Brown mince, onions and carrots in a saucepan for 4-5 minutes. Drain excess liquid. Mix sachet contents with water and add to pan with peas. Bring to the boil, stirring and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes.
