For a tasty winter warmer this classic French dish of beans and smoked sausage in a herb flavoured tomato sauce takes just minutes to cook.
Ingredients
  • 1 green pepper, chopped

  • 1 tablespoons olive oil

  • 450 gram (1 pound) Classic Tomato Sauce (See Recipe)

  • 150 millilitre (1/4 pint) chicken stock

  • 1 teaspoon Season-All

  • 2 teaspoon Herbes de Provence

  • 400 gram (14 ounce) tin baked beans

  • 400 gram (14 ounce) tin mixed beans, drained

  • 225 gram (8 ounce) smoked sausage, sliced

Instructions

  • 1 Fry the green pepper in the oil until softened. Add all the remaining ingredients and bring to the boil.
  • 2 Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, until reduced and thickened.
  • 3 Serve with crusty bread.
