For a tasty winter warmer this classic French dish of beans and smoked sausage in a herb flavoured tomato sauce takes just minutes to cook.
Ingredients
1 green pepper, chopped
1 tablespoons olive oil
450 gram (1 pound) Classic Tomato Sauce (See Recipe)
150 millilitre (1/4 pint) chicken stock
1 teaspoon Season-All
2 teaspoon Herbes de Provence
400 gram (14 ounce) tin baked beans
400 gram (14 ounce) tin mixed beans, drained
225 gram (8 ounce) smoked sausage, sliced
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Fry the green pepper in the oil until softened. Add all the remaining ingredients and bring to the boil.
- 2 Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, until reduced and thickened.
- 3 Serve with crusty bread.
