Our balti spice mix is an aromatic, medium-heat recipe mix with cumin seed, coriander seed and coriander leaf, ideal with chicken or prawns.

For OUR RECIPE you will need …
1 sachet Schwartz Balti Recipe Mix
- 1tbs oil
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 450g boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced 2 tbs tomato purée
- 400g tin chopped tomatoes
- 1 green pepper, diced
3 Easy Steps...
1 Heat oil and fry onion for 5 mins, until golden brown.
2 Add chicken and seasoning, stir and cook for a couple of mins. Add tomato purée and cook for 1 min. Stir in chopped tomatoes and pepper, bring to the boil.
3 Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 mins, stirring occasionally, until thickened and chicken is cooked through.
Try Something Different: Delicious with naan bread, mango chutney and lime pickle. Garnish with lime wedges and Schwartz Coriander Leaf. For a meat free alternative, replace chicken with canned lentils and stir in a handful of spinach at the end of cooking.
Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
