Ingredients
175 millilitre orange juice
3 tablespoons light soy sauce
2 teaspoon Organic Ginger
1 teaspoon Garlic Grinder
pinch Mild Chilli Powder
1 teaspoon Dried Basil
450 gram sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
1 tablespoons sesame oil
450 gram mixed stir fry vegetables, e.g. broccoli florets, sliced onions, sugar snaps peas, red bell pepper strips
1 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon cornflour
1 teaspoon Sesame Seed
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 Mix the orange juice, soy sauce, Ginger, Garlic Granules, Crushed Chillies and Basil in a small bowl. Place the steak in a large re-sealable plastic bag or glass dish, add 1/2 the marinade and turn to coat well. Reserve the remaining marinade for later. Cover and leave to marinade for 20 minutes, or for best results overnight in the refrigerator. Remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes prior to cooking.
- 2 Heat the oil in a large frying pan or a wok on a high-heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and add to the pan, stir fry 3 minutes or until the steak is no longer pink. Remove from the pan and add the vegetables and stir fry for 3-5 minutes or until tender-crisp.
- 3 Mix the reserved marinade with the honey and cornflour until smooth. Stir into the pan and bring to the boil, stirring continuously. Return the steak to the pan and heat through.
- 4 Delicious served with brown rice and sprinkled with Sesame Seed.
