Fruit Compote

450 gram (1 pound) rhubarb, sliced

2 pears, sliced

225 gram (8 ounce) plums, stones removed and halved

¾ tablespoons water

50 gram (2 ounce) caster sugar (or to taste)

½ Vanilla Pod , , split

1 Cinnamon Sticks , , broken in 2

Instructions
- 1 Place all the fruit in a large saucepan with the water, sugar, Vanilla Pod and Cinnamon Stick. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until the fruit is tender.
- 2 Cool and remove the Vanilla Pod and Cinnamon Stick just before serving. Serve with cream, or as the filling for a crumble or pie.
