Serve sausages in a Mexican sauce flavoured with coriander.
Ingredients
450 grams sausages
1 onion, finely chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
400 grams red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
400 grams chopped tomatoes
300 millilitres (1/2 pint) water
125 grams long grain rice
1 tablespoon Coriander Leaf
Juice of 1/2 Lime
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
- 1 STEP 1: Fry the sausages in a deep frying pan, until browned. Drain the fat, slice the sausages, if desired, and return them to the pan.
- 2 STEP 2: Add the onion and fry for 3-4 minutes, until softened. Add the green pepper and fry for 1 minute.
- 3 STEP 3: Add the Schwartz Chilli con Carne Recipe Mix. Stir through then add the remaining ingredients except the Schwartz Coriander Leaf and the lime juice, cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the Schwartz Coriander leaf and the lime juice, stir through and serve.
