175g (6oz) streaky bacon, chopped
450g (1lb) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved 50ml (2fl oz) water
1. Fry the bacon in a large pan for 45 minutes, until golden and crispy. Drain the excess oil.
2. Stir the sprouts into the pan. Cover, reduce the heat and cook for 810 minutes, until softened. 3. Stir in the sachet contents and water, cook for a further minute, until sprouts are tender.
Delicious with roast turkey and all the trimmings. Try adding chestnuts and double cream towards the end of cooking for a richer sauce.
Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
