Quick Onion Soup
Melt the butter in a large saucepan and fry the onions with the Garlic and sugar for 15 minutes, until they have browned.
Meanwhile, mix the Gravy Mix sachet contents with the water and bring to the boil stirring. Add the sherry, if using, and simmer for 1-2 minutes.
Whilst the onions and gravy are cooking, heat the grill and cut the baguette into slices. Sprinkle with cheese and grill. Stir the onions into the gravy stock and season well. Spoon into bowls. Top with the cheese bread and serve.
